Guess what! Baby #2 is on it's way! I have known for several weeks now, but of course have been hesitant to post about it incase I miscarry. If you're reading this, please keep this on the DL. I am mainly posting about this as a journal entry. I am 10w & 4d today. This was our first month "trying," too. I've had 2 appointments so far with the OB. Well, I guess 3 technically. That additional appointment was just a blood test that was given because of when I was pregnant with Damon having gestational diabetes. They like to test earlier just to be cautious for patients with it in their history. Fortunately, I passed with flying colors. So, they will test me again at the regular time in a couple of months to see if it onsets later on. We heard the heartbeat this last appointment which was this week. The heart rate was 170. I feel like for some reason this time around that I am more worrisome about miscarrying. For some reason I had this gut-wrenching feeling that I was going to miscarry before we could hear the heartbeat, but I'm glad everything seems to be perfect. I am hoping it's just my motherly instincts which are stronger this time that just got a little bit out of control. I have felt a bit of morning sickness, but nothing that eating doesn't help. I don't know if I just forgot, but I think I've been more sick this time. Between my first and second appointments, I actually lost 5lbs. I actually weigh less now than I did before getting pregnant. My appetite is crappy and I don't eat as large of portions as normal. I gained more than I would like when I was pregnant with Damon though. So, helpfully this time is different. We'll see! I'm not TRYING to lose weight though. That wouldn't be the best idea while carrying a baby.

1 year and 7 months
Since we recently moved, he decided he knows how to sleep through the night. Totally not complaining, but i think he was holding out on purpose. He still will occasionally wake up once, but goes right back to sleep with my help. He still breastfeeds once per day before bed. We are working on weaning him off completely. He is also starting to try to climb out of his crib. I usually catch him trying and stop him before he gets close, but it's definitely time for a toddler bed. He's not scared of much so I'm convinced he will climb out head first and fall that way! He transitioned to our house ok as well. He's been a little bit clingy, but that was expected. He is having a hard time sharing the TV at our house. If the TV is on, it has to be on his show or he will throw a fit. So glad we can test out our 4K TV on baby Einstein and pingu.. both of which were made probably at least 20 years ago and the quality doesn't even compare. It's a struggle. He is stubborn, but smart. He likes to see how far he can push me, but I'm hoping that it's the terrible twos we're dealing with. It's starting to become swimming weather around here, but we haven't tried it yet. I'm very curious to see how he acts since he was too young to do much last year. I'm sure that will come this next month. He is in mostly size 2t clothing and getting snug in his size 6 shoes. Size 4 diapers. Ever since we moved, he has had so much fun being reintroduced to some of his old toys.. plus some of my old toys from when I was a kid. He hasn't been to our new wards nursery yet. I'm kind of dreading it especially since it'll be the first time i will have EVER left him with strangers. I probably will stay in there with him the first week or two. We'll see- update on that later! Before we moved, there were like 3 or 4 days in a row where I got him to poop in the toilet. He has since regressed, but the goal is to potty train by the time he turns 2. He's obsessed with ramen noodles, cottage cheese, pickles, fruit smiles, oranges, toast, craisens, and veggie straws right now.
