Damon is getting so big! I'm sure a lot has changed in the past 6 months. Aside from becoming a big brother, Damon is learning so much every day. He is a big helper for his mom and baby sister, Jade. He loves being involved in everything and holding sissies hand or showing her how to play with toys (a little too much). We recently (about 2 weeks ago) started potty training. We started by taking him to pick out big boy underwear, stickers, toys, and a poster for a potty chart. He is a long ways away from being fully potty trained right now. He does not go on his own accord most of the time. If we stay on top of telling him to go sit on his potty or take him to a potty, he won't have accidents. He usually pees his bed at least 1x each night. We do lots of laundry. I really don't want to have to go back to diapers and start over at a later time though, so we are trying to stay strong. He still takes a nap 1x a day usually. He can go without, but it gives mom a good break (especially if Jade does at the same time) and he is happier with a nap so we encourage it. He is talking ok right now. Mom and dad understand him more than most people do. His recent food loves are QuikTrip taquitos, clemtines, apple juice, breakfast essentials, chips and salsa, guacamole, fruit snacks, pb&j, almonds, and some random stuff here and there. He is still a pretty picky eater so that makes meal time fun. We usually end up having to bribe him to eat his food. You do what you gotta do! Damon loves his new puppy, Poppy. Although she is a bit more than he can handle most of the time. Damon loves watching Daniel Tiger, Mickey Mouse, and Boss Baby the most lately. He started to go with us rock climbing at the gym lately and seems to like that! He makes us laugh all the time. He has a special bond with his grandparents. They are his best buds. His best friend right now is probably our neighbor, Maisy. She is about 6 months older than he is. They love to play in the street and scream together. Damon loves his doggy stuffed animal when he sleeps. He has a teddy in the car that he will always ask for when we go places as well. He seems to like nursury pretty well now. I was worried after the break from when Jade was born that he would have a hard time, but he doesn't want to come home most of the time now. We swam a couple of times this year already. At the end of the summer last year, I bought him new shorts for this year when they were on sale. Well, they still don't fit because this kid does not get wider at all. He just grows UP. He hates haircuts now (maybe that hasn't changed in 6 months?). He will scream bloody murder and make me wrestle him to have his hair cut. If not, I have to do it while he sleeps..which is tricky! Damon insisted while taking these pictures that we took some by his potty.. so I guess it's an appropriate time to document that. I'm glad he's proud of it, though!

4 months
Whaaa?? Baby Jade is already so big! She is in a growth spurt right now and grows out of her close faster than she can wear them. This was her first time wearing the giraffe romper and it was basically busting open at the crotch. So sad because it's super cute! Jade is a sweet babe and loves when I help her chase Damon around the house. She is an adrenaline junky already and loves to "fall backward" off the couch with my help. She has super cute rolls all up her thighs that make diaper changes fun. She has lost probably about 90% of her hair leaving just a few scragglies and a nice mullet in the back that we usually hide with a headband. She is starting to teeth and wants to eat everything in sight but gets frustrated that it doesn't help. She does well in the car most of the time as long as she's been fed. She swam for the first time this past weekend (if you count being held in the water while mom swims). She is not sleeping through the night these days. I'm hoping it's just a sleep regression, but we will see. She usually wakes 2-3 times to eat in the middle of the night. She is still sleeping in her rock-n-play, but soon going into her crib. She rolls from tummy to back now and also from back to side pretty easily. She's currently wearing size 2 diapers and about size 3-6m clothing. I introduced her sophie the giraffe recently, but she is still getting use to it. I can tell she likes it, but she has a hard time grabbing it when she wants it. And once I place it in her hands for her, she has a hard time getting it in her mouth sometimes.. so we'll work on that! We love her so much!
