20 weeks

Half way! Crazy!! No changes really. Here's an interesting photo comparison. The photo on the left is Damon in the womb. The photo on the right is baby girl in the womb both at 20 weeks. There's not a huge  difference so far. I have a couple friends who are pregnant and due toward the end of this year as well.Summer and Maria are both due in October I believe. And Karlie is due like a week and a half after me. So many babies are coming within my group of friends. It's crazy how life changes! I'm excited to see some of them become mothers for the first time! It's the best thing ever and has brought so much clarity to me in knowing myself and feeling my place in this world.

19 weeks

So, another week down! My belly has become more prominent every day it seems. Both Adam and I have felt kicks outside of my belly now. I have SEEN them as well. It's crazy to me that (the ultrasound tech confirmed) that a 9 oz little baby can be so strong. Damon was crazy in the womb, but I don't recall seeing movement this early with him. Nothing else really new going on with the pregnancy or anything. Here's to another week!

18 weeks

I have been so bad about updating this this week. I keep waiting because we have had a few appointments which I wanted to merge into this update. We had our first ultrasound on Monday which went well except they couldn't see the heart as well as they hoped because of the position the baby was in. We did find out that we are having a girl! I was super surprised because we were not trying for either gender and I just figured with our family odds that it would be hard for me to conceive a girl baby. I had thought at first early on in this pregnancy that it could be a girl because I was more sick, but that changed and I feel totally fine now which made me think it is a boy and that I was just legitimately sick before. So, we are grateful, excited, and curious to see how having a girl baby goes! I am definitely excited for all the girly clothes and accessories and things that come with being a girl. We do not have a name set yet. We do have a list as we have kept since before Damon was born, but we haven't settled on anything. After our first ultrasound on Monday, we had the OB appointment on Wednesday which went fine and was uneventful. They did let me know at that time that they needed to schedule another ultrasound so that they could get better pictures of the heart. They emphasized their lack of concern in the situation, but rather they just could not see it before. Friday was our second ultrasound. It went well as well. The baby was being stubborn again. She was not wanting to show us her heart as well as her hands. The ultrasound tech had me get up and walk around the room and try to get the baby to move and re-position herself. She also did a vaginal ultrasound which I have never had. That was not as scary as it sounds. It was very mild compared to a pelvic exam or even a pap smear. After that we were able to finally see everything we needed and got some extra ultrasound photos which was nice. She is measuring 2 days behind our due date. I'm sure it will fluctuate over time so I'm not concerned or anything. As long as we do not have a Christmas baby, I'm good! But, I plan on talking with Newman about that and letting her know that if the baby is not born by the 20th, that I would like to induce. So besides that, not a whole lot new has happened regarding the pregnancy. I have felt her move a lot and even some on the outside of my belly which has been fun. Adam has yet to experience that this time, but I'm sure it will happen soon.

1 year & 9 months

This month, Damon has learned to say and do so many things just by copying those around him. I would list all the words her says now, but the list is long and I'm sure I won't remember it all. I'm sure he says more than I realize and I just don't understand it too. He loves his daddy so much.  I love seeing their relationship grow and I hope they stay close forever.  I'm excited to see Damon as a brother.  He already likes being my helper so I hope that is going to stick around.  He is still having a hard time with nursury. He does great as long as adam or I are there,  but struggles otherwise. He loves singing time though. He is a very musical child.  Even his nursury leaders have pointed that out.  He is always able to pick out a beat and loves to dance.

Head circumference: 49.5cm
Height: 34in

17 weeks

One more week till the ultrasound! It's so crazy. I feel like time is flying.  I have felt pretty good lately.. not really any big changes. I did throw up this morning,  but I don't think it was morning sickness. I decided to take my vitamins in the morning instead and hadn't eaten yet.  Normally that type of stuff doesn't bother me, but being pregnant changes things. People have asked me if I have a gut feeling saying what gender this baby is.  Here's the lowdown. So, at the beginning of this pregnancy,  I had stomach issues. I THINK it was an actual stomach bug that lasted about 24 hours. However,  my stomach was sensitive for a good month or so. I don't know if it was just because of out being fragile from being pregnant or what. With that being said,  it made me think the baby had to be a girl at that point because it was so different from last time. Since I've gotten past that,  I feel normal like last time now. So,  that leads me to think it's a boy now. So WHO KNOWS. I'll be sure to update on here after I find out.

16 weeks

I'm a day late in posting this,  but here we go. Not a whole lot new here. I feel like I have felt more prominent kicks at this point.. not just flutters. So that's always fun! Nothing felt from the outside yet. My appetite is back to normal mostly.. just eating smaller portions which I'm totally ok with! I scheduled the anatomy ultrasound..2 weeks from today actually. So I'll be 18 weeks and 1 day by that time. Hopefully the baby cooperates and we can find out the gender. I haven't decided if we're going to do a gender reveal. I think it would be fun, but I don't have any creative ideas that aren't over done. So, we'll see! My belly seems to only be obvious at night. Otherwise I just look fat. We'll get there.
