8 months

19lbs this month and TALL! This month, Damon has figured out crawling. He sometimes will use his foot on one side and his knee on the other. He really just wants to walk around everywhere and I'm sure it won't be long before he is. He also learned to pull himself up and stand and walk next to the couch. He has 5 official teeth. After his bottom teeth came in, he gave us about a week of sanity before he started sprouting his top teeth. One front one came first. Then the second top one came at the same time as his second 3rd top tooth! The 3rd has been slower at completely surfacing. It seems to go up and down. Needless to say, he's been a real treat. It was pretty sad about a week ago when he face planted onto the tile. His bottom teeth cut into his gums where that second top was about to come through. It was bleeding but he got over it real quick. It was sad but kind of funny cuz he was smiling with bloody drool coming out so he looked like a vampire. He has been sleeping better since as well.. which is a nice break.  He loves his Grandma Goodman more than me right now it seems. He's now wearing some 12 month clothing, but mostly 18-24 month.  He got his first haircut this week. Nothing too noticeable. He just had some uneven areas from where it had been rubbed out on the back and sides of his head. So I just went over it with a #1 guard and blended it up to his crown. So we can now comb his hair into a fohawk. Yay! He loves to rip things up.. especially magazines. Maybe it's some kind of stress release for him. He gets real intense trying to destroy it though. It's pretty funny. He learned to give kisses this month.. big, open mouthed, wet kisses! Haha and he thinks its hilarious. He's obsessed with water bottles. Especially Grandma Goodman's. Her necklace too! Even if I'm wearing his teething necklace, he still prefers Grandma's. He thinks its fun to drink water from a little squirt while I spray him out of his bottle. He's gained the obsession with cottage cheese. He will eat that all day if I would let him. He likes refried beans too! Prettymuch any food we are eating, he loves. He learned to clap this month also. He blabbers nonsense all day long. Sometimes it sounds like "dad," "bob," or "momomomom." We aren't sure he knows what he's saying though because it usually doesn't connect with me or Adam.  And I don't know who Bob is. He also likes to make out with himself in the mirror. He loves swimming and baths no matter how cold the water is.  He has become a little monster when trying to dress him or change his diaper. He just wants to roll and crawl away.. anything to drive us crazy. He loves having his teeth brushed! My mom and I have been watching Gilmore Girls on Netflix (which we just finished) and he would get so excited every time the theme song comes on and stop what he's doing and look at the TV ready to dance. Now that we finished that, he perks up to Greys Anatomys theme song. We are having so much fun with this stage as he learns to play and wonder around!
