1 year and 4 months

This past month, Damon has learned so much. One is that he learned to sing "Happy Birthday."  He actually overheard the song on my phone because of a video I was watching. I noticed him carrying on the tune in the background so I quickly turned the video on through my phone and got a clip of it. Since then, I have been pushing him to keep the tune in mind since Adams birthday was on the 4th. So since then, he has sung his own version of the song many times. He still speaks mostly Damonese. He occasionally repeats things, but they usually don't reoccur. He understands a lot of what we say and teach him, but he is a little bit slower in picking up verbalizing words. He has a stubborn side to his personality that is becoming clear every so often as we approach that wonderful "terrible two" stage. He is so smart though and I love watching him learn and grow. He is my best friend every day. I don't know what I'd do without him. I have been having his hair grow out a bit longer than normal the past month and it seems so much more thick! I don't know if it is just more recently growing thicker or if it's because of the length, but he's still got a fair amount of that fine textured baby hair that limits hair combing styles. We usually sport the fohawk or more recently- the comb over and hard part. He is still in size 4 diapers. He currently wears mostly size 24 month and size 2t clothing and size 6 shoes.  He loves brushing his teeth and is getting better and better at letting me help him even though he gets a little bit impatient so it's usually short lived. When he does it himself, he usually just chews on the toothbrush. But hey, it's a start!

And he has randomly repeated words here and there, but not reoccuringly. (Is that a word?)
